Apple Student Discount: ‘Back to School’: Apple offers huge discount for students, MacBook Air & MacBook Pro 13 at Rs 10K off


Premium smartphone manufacturer Apple introduced ‘Back to School‘ on its India Store Online for students, who are set to begin their new curriculum at their college or university.

As part of the education discount, the tech company is giving massive discounts on new generation MacBooks, iPads, Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard to students.

In an attempt to transform hybrid learning, its annual education offer is available for current and newly accepted college/university students, parents buying for them, and teachers and staff at all levels. The discount can be availed in the special education section of Apple Store Online.

Eligible Devices

MacBook Air:

Apple is offering a Rs 10,000 discount on MacBook Air (M2) with a price tag of Rs 10,9900. The device (originally priced at Rs 11,9900) will be available next month in July.

Students can also consider buying the MacBook Air (M1)at Rs 89,900, Rs 10,000 less than the original price of Rs 99,900.

MacBook Pro:

MacBook Pro 13-inch (original price Rs 1,29,900) can be yours at Rs 1,19,900 with a Rs 10,000 discount. Similarly, MacBook Pro 14-inch, which is priced at Rs 1,94,900, can be bought by students for Rs 1,75,410 at a discount of whopping Rs 19,490.

MacBook Pro 16-inch is available at Rs 2,15,910. Set up a iMac at home at Rs 1,07,910 – originally priced at Rs 1,19,900.

While iPad Air (original price Rs 54,900) starts from Rs 50,780, iPad Pro (original price Rs 71,900) begins from Rs 68,300 with the education discount. The offer is applicable on iPad Air 5th Gen, iPad Pro 11-inch 3rd Gen and 12.9-inch 5th Gen.

Customers can upgrade to AirPods Gen 3 at Rs 6,400 and AirPods Pro for Rs 12,200.

Eligible customers will get an AirPods for free along with six months of Apple Music subscription free on purchase of a MacBook or iPad. The Apple Music Student Plan, which is available at a discounted rate, also includes free access to Apple TV Plus. The free access to Apple TV+ will end when the Apple Music Student subscription ends.

“Offer is valid for verified students only and does not extend to a Family Sharing group,” the statement read.

The company is also offering 20 per cent off on Apple Care+, so the young users can protect their devices. However, devices bought outside of the promotional period will not be eligible for AppleCare+ service.

According to the company statement, the offer will be available from Friday (June 24) till September 22.

To verify themselves, the customers (students, parents or staff) have to register on the third-party website – UNiDAYS.
