Are you using malware-infected apps? Google removed 34 malware-infected apps from Play Store

Google has removed 34 apps from the Google Play Store since July 2020 as they were inflected by the Joker malware that has been giving Android smartphone users nightmares.

What is Jokar Malware?

The Joker malware, also called Bread, is known for conducting billing frauds by intercepting SMS to subscribe to unwanted paid services. Jokar disguises itself as legitimate apps makes purchases using WAP billing on behalf of users without them knowing about it.

The Joker malware is not new but lately has been causing headaches for Android app developers as it is very hard to detect due to the little code it uses. Also, malware like these use a different technique called ‘Dropper’ to bypass Google’s security scan and sneak into the user’s device.

The Jokar Malware stills money from the user via different type of subscription. So it is better to remove these apps from the phone.
