Huawei Freebuds Pro 2: Huawei unveils all-new Freebuds Pro 2 with 3 microphones & Hi-Res Dual Sound system

Chinese technology company Huawei launched the all-new Freebuds Pro 2 on Friday.

Sharing the announcement on Twitter, the company informed that its new True Wireless Stereo flagship audio wearable made a debut at a media event in Central and Eastern Europe.

The new wireless earbuds come with dual drivers, triple microphones and ultra-long battery life.

The brand claims that Freebuds Pro 2’s Active Noise Cancellation feature can reduce the ambient noise by up to 47dB with help from the three-microphone array. The predecessor of Pro 2 came with two microphones which could reduce the ambient noise by up to 40dB.

According to GSM Arena, Huawei has introduced an adaptive equalizer that learns from user activity. The earbuds come with a deep neural network algorithm that can learn and adapt over time, and detect external noise to counteract it when making calls. GSM Arena reports said that the partnership with Devialet will make the audio a better experience.

Freebuds Pro 2’s best-selling feature is the Hi-Res Dual Sound system. It supports the biggest frequency range for Huawei earbuds, going from 14 Hz to 48k Hz.

While Huawei did not reveal the battery capacity at the launch, it has promised up to 30 hours of battery life with the case. Playtime on a single charge is said to be 4 hours with ANC on and 6.5 hours with noise cancellation off. The headphones also meet IP54 for water and dust resistance, which the predecessors were not certified for.

Priced at 200 euros in some markets, the Huawei Freebuds Pro 2 are available in three colour variants – Silver Blue, Silver Frost (which is black), and Ceramic White.

For every purchase from the store, Huawei offers a gift. It looks like this time it may be Band 7 for some users, as per GSM Arena.

Customers would be able to avail of the gift only if they pre-order until July 10, as the shipments begin on July 11. It’s not yet known if and when the device will come to India.
