jee mains postponed: JEE Main 2021 May session postponed

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday announced the postponement of the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) May session due to the present situation of Covid-19 pandemic in the country. The JEE Main May session was scheduled to be commenced on May 24, however, the exams have now been put off indefinitely.

“The JEE Main 2021 May session is currently scheduled on 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, May 2021. However, keeping the present situation in mind, the JEE Main 2021 May session is also being postponed,” NTA said in a statement.

The JEE (Main) 2021 April session which was scheduled on April 27, 28, and 30, had already been put off due to the pandemic. “The rescheduling of the April and May sessions will be done subsequently. The registration for the the May session will also be announced in a later stage,” NTA clarified in the notice.

“Looking at the present situation of COVID-19 and keeping students’ safety in mind, JEE (Main) – May 2021 session has been postponed . Students are advised to keep visiting the official website of NTA for further updates,” Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ tweeted.

The Union Ministry of Education on Monday had directed all central higher educational institutions to put off all the offline examinations scheduled in May 2021 due to the steep rise in the Covid 19 cases.
