The MoU aims to help skill development in the area of engine manufacturing and finding value creating opportunities for students, teaching faculty and industry personnel. The main objective of this collaboration is to focus on bringing successful opportunities that lead to skill development, training and consultancy in the area of engine manufacturing. The new agreement also allows the exchange of students, faculty and Industry executives between MITE and TIEI to enhance the overall competence in the respective fields.
The exchange of MoU documents was done by B Parameswaran, director – corporate, TIEI and Rajesh Chouta, Chairman, MITE.
Santhosh Rao, associate vice president -HR, TIEI said that “In today’s ever growing automobile industry, there is a strong need for skilled engineers who are well exposed to engine manufacturing technology and environment. TIEI is committed to developing engineering skills of youth for employability and happy to collaborate with MITE.”
The MoU will facilitate internship and plant visits for students and faculty members of MITE, to get the real time exposure of the industry. TIEI will depute experts to deliver lectures and conduct workshops at MITE as part of deepening industry and academia relationships and exchange latest trends in engine technology. The MoU will also focus on identifying best minds with innovative ideas that can be groomed by mentors from TIEI. MITE will be conducting hackathons and students with entrepreneurial ideas will be trained by Industry experts from Toyota. The MoU will also allow selected students from MBA to attend the ‘Finishing School for MBA’ at TIEI Campus, so that the students can learn practical knowledge by interacting, observing and involving in the tasks assigned by industry mentors.
Speaking on the occasion of the MoU exchange, Rajesh Chouta mentioned that technologies in the industry are changing rapidly. It is really a challenge to keep pace with the fast-paced evolving technologies.
